What does the authorized person need to bring to the registration office?
Typically: this power of attorney, their own ID, the principal’s ID (or a copy), the vehicle documents and proof of insurance. Requirements differ between offices – check your local office’s website beforehand.
Which procedures does the power of attorney cover?
You simply tick what is allowed: registration, deregistration, transfer or re-registration, applying for a personalized plate, and receiving plates and documents. Anything not ticked is not covered.
Will every registration office accept a digitally signed power of attorney?
Many offices accept a printed, digitally signed power of attorney. Some, however, require a handwritten signature or their own form – if in doubt, ask your office or print the PDF and sign it by hand as well.
Can I limit the power of attorney to a single procedure?
Yes. Tick only the procedure you want and enter the specific vehicle – the power of attorney then applies only to that. After the appointment it is best to take the original back.
